Following a long-standing tradition of traveling to some of the most magnificent SCUBA destinations around the world, CaliDivers is proud to announce the October 2010 Hawaii project!
What: CaliDivers Expedition to Big Island, Hawaii
When: October 15th-24th, 2010.
Details: 8 morning dives plus 2 night dives, visiting some of the best dive sites in Big Island –some of whom have not yet been mapped! We will be looking for big marine life (dolphins, manta rays, sharks, etc).
Most diving professionals would agree to place BI in the world’s top diving destinations’ list. Our own club president (Mauri Munoz) refers to it as the world’s best shore-diving destination.
There will also be other optional tours such as trips to Kailua Kona, Hilo, and a volcano expedition.
CaliDivers has put together a $465 (per person) 9 nights-10 days travel package for both divers and non-divers, which includes the following:
a. Ground transportation to and from the airport – rental property – diving sites – downtown Kailua Kona.
b. Lodging: we are staying at a house with private kitchen and bathrooms. Double occupancy per room.
c. Guide services to diving sites, and through the various tours of the city of Kailua Kona.
d. Daily breakfast included.
What is NOT included in out travel package –you pay out of pocket:
1. Airfare, or you may use your miles if you have some.
2. Lunch and dinner –eat out or prepare your own food in the property’s kitchen.
3. Scuba equipment rentals –at minimum you’d have to rent your own tanks.
4. Any health and/or medical expenses which may occur before, during or after this expedition whether or not they are related to your participation in this project. CaliDivers strongly urges you to consider buying diver insurance from Divers Alert Network before participating in any scuba diving event. For more information contact one of the officers.
5. Any other expense not included in points a thru d above.

We are also available to help you make your SCUBA rental arrangements and / or airfare reservations.
This project has a limited amount of seats, so, we will sign up divers on a first-come-first-serve basis.
All sign-ups are final; there will be no refunds.
