I am ready to go! I'll be driving from my place in San Mateo. I have room for a few more if anyone wants to start out from the West Bay. We can leave here at 7am and beat the others! Ha! Give me a call if you're interested in car pooling with me: 415-994-9699.

Also, I'm looking forward to a nice, easy dive to get back in the groove. I'm hoping this is what others would like to do as well. I need to get a few dives in before Channel Islands.

Everyone had a good time at Stillwater cove this past weekend. In fact, Calidivers Bill and Ed said it was one of the best shore dives they've ever done with up to 40ft. vis. Wow! Greg, Ed, Mauri, and Rick met up with Kelly, Bill, and Jon at the "Reef" in Monterey to fill tanks and then off we went in search of underwater adventure. We finally made it to Stillwater, 30 min. later, after driving a circuitous path through Pebble beach. As I remember, we literally drove in a circle at one point, never a dull moment on these trips! After arriving we got to work setting everything up. Greg didn't dive due to a lingering cold so he played around with his inflatable canoe in the cove and taxied gear out for divers since Stillwater can be a long swim. Everyone one reported great vis and plenty of seal sightings. Instead of a second dive, Mauri and Greg paddled out to the mouth of Stillwater cove to enjoy the sights above water. After diving/canoeing we all went back to Giannis' for pizza. It was a great day. A special thanks/welcome goes to Rick since this was his first Calidivers dive and for driving us back to Monetery after a long day. Next stop: Channel Islands!
